About | Sahar Hod Architect

Planner · Designer · Clarifier

There's something most clients don't know about me.

I start planning long before I start drawing.

It begins as early as our first meeting, and deepens the more I get to know them. Slowly, a connection starts to form in my mind - between the people, the place, and the home they'll one day live in.

I listen not just to what they say they want, but to how they actually live.

What truly matters to them.
What makes them happy.
What's missing from their life today.
What makes them feel at home.

Sometimes people ask for something specific, but the deeper you go, the clearer it becomes that it's not really what they need. Like the difference between being in love and loving. Sometimes we confuse the want with what's really underneath it.

My job isn't just to design a beautiful home.

My job is to help people get clear on themselves.

To understand how they want to live.

True, a home changes over the years. Furniture gets replaced. Kids grow up. Needs change.

But some things stay.

The feeling.
The light that comes in every morning.
The breeze through the window.
The view outside while you're washing dishes.

Every morning I wake up in my own home, I feel grateful.

I enjoy my home.

And yes, there are also piles of laundry.
And toys scattered around.
And one closet I'd rather not open.

But my home feels good to me.

I'm comfortable in it.

And I think, in the end, that's my real goal as an architect.

Not just to design houses.

But to create places where people feel good living.
