Accessibility Statement
This site was built with the effort to make the service available and comfortable to use for all visitors, including people with disabilities.
We place great importance on providing an equal and accessible service to the entire public, and work to implement the principles of accessibility on this site in accordance with Israeli Standard 5568 for the accessibility of internet content, which is based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines at level AA, and in accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773-2013.
Accessibility Measures Implemented on the Site
- Semantic page structure with hierarchical headings and a skip link to the main content, for comfortable use with a keyboard and screen readers.
- Alternative text descriptions (alt) for all meaningful images on the site.
- Color contrast between text and background at level AA.
- Full support for both RTL and LTR reading direction, for the Hebrew and English versions of the site.
- Full keyboard navigation between all links, menus and fields on the site, with a clear focus indicator.
- Support for the "reduce motion" preference (prefers-reduced-motion) for visitors sensitive to animation.
- Forms with labels linked to every input field, including matching autocomplete support.
- A floating accessibility menu (the button in the corner of the screen), including: increasing and decreasing font size across three levels, a high-contrast mode, underlining links, and stopping animations and transitions with a single click. Settings are saved automatically for your next visit.
Screen Readers & Compatibility
The site is built using semantic HTML tags, ARIA attributes (such as aria-label, aria-current, aria-hidden), and a logical reading order, with the aim of supporting common screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver. Full testing has not been performed with every screen reader and browser version combination; if you encounter difficulty with a specific combination, we'd welcome you letting us know.
Components That May Not Be Fully Accessible
- The link to Sahar Hod Architect's Instagram page - managed and hosted on an external platform (Instagram/Meta) that is not under our control and does not necessarily meet the same accessibility standards.
- Some images in the project galleries are labeled with a general description (e.g. "Photo from Project X") rather than an individual description for every single image, due to the scale of the galleries.
- The contact form is processed through an external service (FormSubmit.co); its availability and operational accessibility depend on that external provider.
Limitation of Liability
We work to the best of our ability to make the site and its content accessible in accordance with the standards detailed above, and work on an ongoing basis to identify and fix accessibility issues. That said, there may be components or content - particularly external content linked from the site and not under our control - that have not yet been fully adapted. Nothing in this statement shall impose on Sahar Hod Architect any responsibility for making third-party content accessible, nor does it constitute a commitment to full and absolute compliance at all times and on every browser or device.
